While she probably deserved to be fired, it should have been done from the gitgo and not weeks after the fact when all this money was flowing into the State. But as I have noted several times, racism is alive and well here. In P'burg, Clay County and Viena are three locations I am comfortable with due to the bad news coming out and the personal experience of my wife. I thought about and knew I lost some votes in the Election because I was married to an Asian. Still, tried to do my duty to our City.
World is too small these days for that kind of attitude. Dislike people for legitimate reasons like they are thieves, liars, slimy and even despicable in their professional affairs but never due to a skin color. Cut me or I cut you and we will both bleed red. That is all there is to it. The rest is the facade of life and should not be important. Issues on personal reasons are open to interpretation so I am not going to take a side on that. Have enough issues with the Politicians and the kiss butts they appoint.
Again for reasons that escape me, I am getting likes from places as far away as Alabama and even Bukina Faso. Now that is just so interesting to me that the ongoing and never ending corruption can register so readily with places as I just noted. I know that people suffer from their Governments to one degree or another all over this World. Many far worse than the petty despots we have running around throwing money at everyone or anything that can advance a questionable agenda here? But wrong is wrong, no matter where it is found?
I even got a comment from Pakistan of all places. It came out of Karachi and I got really suspicious and immediately deleted that one. Lot of bad stuff comes out of Pakistan on the Internet?
Was watching the swearing in of Mr. Wharton as a Judge for the past couple of days. Have only had one run in with him as D.A., and he seemed inclined to support Vienna in my FOIA on the Police Call that almost never was? But with a bit of due diligence, I got the proofs of what I alleged. I do not have a feeling that anything will change in P'burg? Will be same partisan Politics to protect the Machine against the common folks as much as possible for any commoner to make it the Court System?
The most meaningful item to come out on the Judiciary is the appointment of Mr. Loughry as Chief Justice. I believe I have heard comments credited to him that he would be more attentive to the rights of the Law versus who were involved in a case? In simple terms, he felt that the Law needed to be applied equally no matter who one was or who one knew. Can only hope for the folks in the State that I have heard correctly and some of the scum bags who currently seem to be sliding through will be held accountable for their actions or inactions as the case may be?
The Daily Blat is advising the incoming Legislature that there is little ready cash to grab in more taxes this coming year. But there is no short term way for the State to get its Budget balanced without more taxes. The State is adament that it either can not or will not reduce spending in a meaningful manner. I don't mean to lay off all the front line folks that are actually doing the work, but as I point out with our BOE, to get rid of the layers of fat between the top and the bottom. Lots of fat and because we are dealing with appointments of bubba's, the patronage system will be and is alive and well.
Just after I finished my posting for yesterday (27th), my wife got hit with a ransomeware hit. I had mentioned the use of three keys to get out from it. She used just one she had been told by yet another Support Tech and it worked like "right now". Surprised the Hell out of me? 'nuff said'.
