It seems to me that if someone is going to put out a "warning" that while watching demolition, it would be good to advise that people should not be hanging around there to begin with?
A prudent person might suspect that proper permits and allowances are in place to prevent a wall destined to come down, will. We are very, very fortunate to have our faux pas version of the Vienna Branch of the Daily Blat out taking pictures and reporting what passes for the NEWS? Keep up the good work.
It seems some more of the mug wumps in Homeland Security are beginning to worry on someone shutting down the Power Grid in the U.S. The main suspect appears to be the Russians (who else?), but with those North Korean Electromagnetic Pulse Satellites whizzing overhead, one can not leave them out of mix. And of course our other Ally, the Chinese.
We are very, very susceptible to this type of attack and supposedly the Russians are playing with our systems to gain access to the programs. Mostly by getting into them via various Contractual Suppliers of one type of service or another.
Russia took nine months of sneaking around before they shut down the Ukrainian System. That is right, they have and will use their knowledge to create havoc. Out biggest advantage is that the U.S. has three Power Grids fed by 8,000 Generating Plants and several thousand Distribution Utilities.
One has to wonder if that is why we have this instantaneous on/ off outages like on Sunday at about 8:15 A.M.? A little test that the Power Company blames on a fricasseed Squirrel?
Folks with the Generators may be on too something at least as long as they have supplies? Once the power is out and they use up the initial stock pile, it may well be the only way to get more will be a manual pump at a Station or someone's vehicle?
In the Daily Blat on the 12th of August, was an "Our Opinion" column that the State should not get to excited and start celebrating what has since turned out to be about $37 Million more Revenue than Expense. Most or much of that is probably due to Mr. Justice's payment of his back Taxes/ interest/ penalties? For sure he got a nice adjustment to what was due to get his family interests to pay them up? But if only a $1.00- 2.98 in cash, it was a $1.00- 2.98 more than we had at the beginning of the day?
In reviewing still more of the Daily Blat's Column's, I noted in the 9 August one that while the big to do is over the $1.5 Million the Justice's managed to spend so they would not have to toil like the Deplorables whose lives they have such a control over, but more the little statement on how they were alleged in a scheme in over paying senior state judges.
Now that would for sure be higher on the list of High Crimes and Misdemeanors than the mere lack of Ethics, Morals and Integrity standards? This could end up being a bit of a process where a small envelope suddenly shows up on a desk or hand delivered at a Fete of some kind? But from what I have seen over the years, everything here it seems is a misdemeanor, especially when it pertains to the shenanigans of an Elected/ Appointed Government Employee? We will have to see how this plays out also?
Apparently on 23 August which is just down the track, Mr. Ketchum will appear in Federal Court to make his plea? Maybe than, we will find out what the deal was to get this plea?
And as you probably know, a Mr. Farrell from Cabell County was appointed to the WVSC as an Acting Justice to replace Mr. Loughry. The kicker is that he will also serve as Chief Justice if and when Ms. Workman is considered for impeachment which has also started this week.
As I have noted, they are ALL Guilty of abuse of position, power and authority as a minimum. The issue of Ethics, Morals and Integrity to me is the infamous "Frosting on the Cake".
Some months back, I commented that we had lost two generations to drugs/ opioids and now was on a third. Seems it is more truth than fiction as mothers are delivering babies who are already hooked on at least opioids. This from the Daily Blat on 10 August.
In 1999, which is an interesting year to use as a base year, 1.5 of every 1,000 coming to a Hospital to deliver depended on or abused opioids. In the latest year, 2014, it had jumped to 6.5 per 1,000 deliveries. And yet again, came the crowning moment for West Virginia- Rates were highest for West Virginia and Vermont. Yet, another list we have no business being at the top of at any time. Problem is the potential for those babies to be addicted for the rest of their lives? Will this happen to each and everyone? I most certainly hope not. 'nuff said'.
