And how about the guy in one of the Carolina's that got busted with not hundreds but thousands of stolen weapons? Was he in his mind a collector or stockpiling? That many weapons in someone's home is a little scary. Most I ever had were about 1,000 in six separate unit armories.
Guess the fact it is so much more wide spread than just a few guys drinking brewski's and thinking out loud and too much. Seems we are reverting back to the 1980s again when there were so many active and physical type organizations/ people wandering around?
While I am a firm believer in changing when the Government as in the case of Vienna failing the majority of its people; it is certainly not at the point of a gun. Still believe that if the people wake up, a good ol' fashioned LEGAL Election should do the trick. I will admit to a concern that the next Election here had best have poll watchers for whomever runs against Mr. Rapp and his crew? Nothing by them would surprise me; nothing.
And having watched how people were checked in at the voting site over the past two Elections, I am skeptical of the integrity of the system here? Seems a little laisse' faire?
Watched the local TV channel as it managed to mess up some data on the Belpre Fire Chief who passed away. They noted his 35 years as a Fire Fighter and than stated he was 36 years old. Say What? Does anyone edit the teleprompters? They had it right earlier?
I never met the Gentleman but will easily extend my condolences to his family. When one serves their people for 35 years with I would suspect little expectation of any reward other than that service, I take my hat off to him. It is with little effort I can so easily respect another who also gets the pleasure and comfort of serving his people. God Bless!
Going forward, I see where WTAP (Gray Television), is trying to protect its subsidiary channels such Fox News, MYtv and CBS47. I would be all in for saving them and shutting down WTAP. Its alleged lax and one sided reporting of what is going on here makes it of little use to Vienna. Unless of course one wants sound bites on items that are somewhat true but fail to tell all? I understand two, same lyrics, little different music.
And then of course my favorite Executive Editor came out extolling diversity of opinion and telling her all about it via a letter to the editor or even calling her or just drop in. What a load of pot pie. I respect Freedom of Speech more than most, but would at least hope for some truth to be included in it; even if by accident. The lady missed the whole damn boat. The next surprise for her is the paper missing the alleged unfolding corruption in Vienna, the Wood County Circuit Court and (next shoe will drop Tuesday). Monday tells the tale.
I am going to have to go over the column by the guy who likes his wine. It seems the grains of whatever are well buried in the chaff he surrounds them with? There for sure is a point but in a brief scan, could not quite get where he was really going. The clear thing was his statement on his love of the grape. I used to enjoy a glass myself many decades ago.
After a few days of thought, I am appalled at the Senate voting down "Kate's " Law last Tuesday. Am very pleased that Mr. Manchin crossed the aisle and supported it. Atta boy! It is always a plus when Mr. Reid and his ilk get put on the wrong side of a vote for a good Law. And we must admit, he seldom fails to deliver. But, I can only hope that with the dwindling days in the current legislative session that it is brought back up for another vote? I can follow the rational to try and tie it to the sanctuary city funding, but as has been pointed out, one step at a time. Now let it go stand alone. The point has been made. The Dem's are tarred and feathered on the issues. Now really put them on the spot. 'nuff said.
