The story has continued to unfold on the Parkland Florida School Officer who is now said to have stood outside for four (4) minutes per the Chief there and five (5) minutes if one is hearing Mr. Trump's side of it. It is also alleged that three more County Officer's showed up and were positioned behind their vehicles In either case it show another breakdown at the Parkland end on the part of the local Police, the School Counselors who should have picked up on or chose to ignore the kid and the lack of "running towards the shooting" as Officers are noted for doing. Than we can throw in the FBI failure(s) to act properly on various tips.
Am I mad, angry, irate- none of the above; I am very, very sad that not only do we have such a dysfunctional societal fabric today, but the people in place to protect us from ourselves failed too.
Don't quite follow that somehow because the above Officer has chosen to "retire", that an investigation can no longer go forward on his behavior? His actions or lack thereof was part and parcel in the deaths of numerous individuals which would seem to make him part of the Crime also? Maybe, it is part of the infamous "Blue Line" that protects itself from the very Laws they are sworn to uphold in Florida? But seemed to work well here also when Mr. Six was given a ride home by two off duty Vienna Police Officers in the day. A distinct lack of Ethics, Morals and Integrity seemingly is not just restricted to some of our Own?
Took a few minutes to read Mr. Sasyn's handout again from the 22 February Council Meeting. As usual, he did a very good job of providing facts and figures so to speak. It was a four (4) page handout with an awful lot of Scientific Names that would have boggled the minds of anyone who is as non chemical educated as I. But the rest of the narrative was very interesting and informative. I definitely see a Pulitzer in his future. He is a good man.........
Yet again, the Council tripped over itself trying to hide what has been brought up to them before. It was noted years back on the Chromium Bricks being dumped in the alleged nonexistent ravine as denied per Mr. Rapp. It would be so nice if just once in a while, he could tell the whole Truth on something as much as a tiny bit to get by? Mr. Leach is sadly beginning to follow his lead and deny this and to ignore that when it serves a purpose. Mr. Rogers had best go back to his book of plays and read on when permits of one type or another began to be required. It is a strong possibility that JM did require permits as it is suspicioned it is a Super Fund site versus a Brownfield one? I for one hope he (Henry), continues to pursue that categorization as it will make a substantial difference in how it is handled? But remember, the EPA and DEP are part and parcel of the shenanigans that are being played out on that property?
He as are some others are beginning to see what a few of us have known for the past couple of years that there are peculiar things occurring at that site.
There was an article in the Daily Blat some days back on a Company that provided equipment for coal mining and other industries is leaving West Virginia, taking 60 jobs with it. Now that in the scheme of things is not a lot of jobs except to the City of Beckley, but is a sad commentary as was noted that such a company in a State noted for coal mining could not retain it here. Every time one of these small town businesses stacks arms and either goes out of business or worse yet moves to another location in another area is a huge loss overall to the way West Virginia does business.
Plus, the WVSC Chief Justice per the Daily Blat of the 17th of February noted that Mr. Loughry had been replaced after being elected to the first four year term since 1888. Something went very, very wrong in this deal.
Ms. Workman who replaced him stated "It is the start of a long process to restore Public respect for the Court".
Mr. Loughry released a statement that went "He believed the vote to replace him was a result of his cooperation with authorities while an investigation of Court practices went on". There is a move afoot to audit the spending habits of the Court.
Ms. Workman should be better in pursuing the alleged Corruption between the WVSC Justices and the dealings that are going on with the local County Court System. It is not a big secret that dealing with the County System and trying to get some relief from the WVSC, is more an exercise in futility than of actually reviewing an issue and as Mr. Loughry said at he beginning of his Term that the Law would be for everyone in the State or words to that effect.
Instead it appears that it was business as usual. 'nuff said'.
