As a bit of a follow up on the Suspension of Mr. Metz that supposedly happened about the last couple of weeks in December? Exact day does not matter now as the question is more what is the State Patrol going to do to resolve the issues?
Was told that as of 9:30 A.M. or so on Tuesday, Mr. Metz was piled up in Mr. Rapp's Office on 29th Street.
Supposedly an interview on the 16th with one or more of the very unhappy VUB people? It has been noted that it was felt the interview was very positive? If more than one person, I do not know and am not going to pull a trick like other sites to throw as much Crap at the wall as possible to see what sticks?
It is known Mr. Metz was at 29th St. (22d), but the story is being put out that he was going over the 2019- 2020 Budget. This would have to be the Street Department/ Storm Water. Now Storm Water will probably be presented in April/ May with the Sewer/ Water budgets, so maybe will not show up now. But with the need for New Vac Truck and Street Sweeper that is to be charged against both Streets and VUB, should probably be addressed? But, it is not yet, on the Agenda for the 24th. So should show on the 7 February Council Meeting? VUB does not have a lot of money to pay for a fair share of the two trucks, so may have to take out of City Capital Reserve and do some fancy math work to charge off to VUB? Think about that folks?
And as of 11:15 A.M. Tuesday, it is not known if he has returned to VUB. Person speaking to me said it was thought the comment on the Budget was a smoke screen to hide what was really going on? Mr. Rapp again trying to hide/ cover up what and from WHOM?
And remember that Mr. Rapp will hide everything he can until it gets to the point on being a one or two body under the bus toss? At that point bet on Mr. Rapp throwing Mr. Metz alone?
I still remember a few years back when I caught Mr. Scholl not doing but 10 Fire Safety Inspections in a 12 month period. Mr. Rapp seemed to blame it on Mr. Roush, who was Building Inspector I believe at the time. And while no one will admit it, I think Mr. Roush got served up for the lack of Safety Inspections? I still feel it is Mr. Scholl's responsibility mostly? Who would have more interest on what is in a building than the VFD if there was a fire? Yet, Mr. Scholl supposedly could not get to those records for some weeks when I asked in a FOIA?
When I was told about the Budget, I noted that the Street Department was NOT on the Agenda for the 24th as of now? I would ask but what he was not really working as one is not put on suspension, brought back to work on a Budget for a couple of hours and than sent home again? Lets be very skeptical and believe the meeting was about the case?
When I was advised that one of the BFF's in another group was trying to find out what was the reason for the suspension and so on, I reached out too that person with a few "facts". Would normally not do that as most of those folks are mostly brain dead except for the crap fed to them like Pablum. And that is sad as they do vote, just don't know what they are voting for?
During a (of course), private conversation on the what is going on at 60th Street, I was told that all of Mr. Metz's immediate family members or at least the males are now gone. It was said that apparently only 2 or 3 of the remaining employees are his "allies". The rest are not happy for whatever reasons? Got that information from two different sources so maybe true?
It is truly not uncommon for the folks to not love or even like their boss. Being the Man, can be a tough job. And sometimes, no one is happy. This can be papered over with the big pay raises and free benefits, but for how long? it soon is an expected entitlement and it takes more and more to keep them happy.
So, for the moment that is where we stand on that issue. If I am advised otherwise, I will do an update on this posting.
As of 8:45 P.M., nothing has changed on where Mr. Metz was all day IF at Vienna?
But did notice that Mr. Rapp and Mr. Thornton were piled up at the Mr. Manchin Round Table discussion on the Federal Shutdown. This nothing but a P.R. ploy for all three of the above. And even Mr. Joyce was there. If Mr. Manchin was interested in doing his job, he will vote for whatever version of Mr. Trumps' plan that gets to the Senate later this week.
Mr. Thornton and especially Mr. Rapp ought to try and spend more time in Vienna rather than wandering around looking for a camera? 'nuff said'.
