House adjourns after chaotic sit-in fails to produce gun vote
ABC News 2 hours 57 minutes ago (Posted here 8:45 A.M. 23 June 16)
Is this going to open the Country up to another of Mr. Obama's infamous Executive Orders? Read the below and then my answer?
The U.S. House of Representatives finally adjourned until July 5 after sit-in protests by Democrats halted business in the chamber for more than 17 hours. Despite the decision to end the legislative session, more than a dozen Democratic members, including Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., were still protesting on the House floor as of this morning. It's unclear exactly how Democrats will proceed with their efforts to bring up a vote on gun control. The unprecedented demonstration, which was broadcast live through C-SPAN and social media across the country, started Wednesday morning and ended early this morning. Democrats seized the floor and demanded a vote, ripping Republicans for being ...
With the House in Recess, can the Senate be far behind? Answer to above question; a recess appointment to the SCOTUS for Mr. Garland? Mr. Obama has been slapped down before on this, but he is not above ignoring any SCOTUS decision or Law that interferes with his agenda. Just like our fair haired Mayor. Do as I say, not as I do.
Apparently, Mr. Obama thinks he has run his string on Executive Actions concerning Immigration? But will that stop him from a final end run as I noted above?
Below article shows what the Dems will say and do to support Mr. Obama at whatever cost to the U.S. Constitution and its Amendments. BUT, are the Repubs really any different in their pursuits to stifle their unwanted parts of the above?

Red-state Dem faces flak over gun comments
By Jordain Carney June 22, 2016, 03:19 pm (Posted here 8:40 A.M. 23 June 16)
Sen. Joe ManchinJoe ManchinRed-state Dem faces flak over gun comments (D-W.Va.) is facing pushback for saying that when it comes to getting a deal on gun control, "due process is what's killing us right now."
Patrick Morrisey, the Republican West Virginia attorney general, sent a letter to Manchin on Wednesday, saying it is "absurd to suggest that we are being harmed or should compromise our constitutionally-guaranteed right to due process."
"The long-established right to due process is not killing us, nor should it be viewed as a burdensome firewall that gets in the way of your preferred legislation, whatever its policy merits," he wrote in the letter, first obtained by The Hill.
Morrisey is considered an up-and-comer in West Virginia, where he's garnered speculation as a potential GOP challenger to Manchin in 2018. Manchin is one of a handful of red-state Democrats up for reelection.
His letter comes after Manchin told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" that, when it comes to getting an agreement on gun control legislation, "The problem we have, and really the firewall we have right now, is due process. It's all due process.
"Can’t we say that, if a person is under suspicion there should be a 5-year period of time that we have to see good behavior if this person continues the same traits?" he added. "Maybe we can come to that kind of agreement. But due process is what’s killing us right now.”
His comments came after Omar Mateen, formerly on a federal watchlist, killed 49 people and injured 53 more in a packed gay nightclub in Orlando, marking the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history. The Senate rejected four gun control proposals Monday evening.
Manchin told The Daily Caller Monday that his comments were "taken totally out of context," adding, "It's what we're trying to protect — due process."
But Morrisey said it was "unclear" how Manchin's initial comments were misinterpreted, and asked that the senator take "into account the importance of due process in your deliberation" as gun control is debated.
The Democrats want to disarm us, the Republicans want to take away our Freedom of Speech and any semblance to obeying any Law that interferes or upsets their agenda be it at the local level and up. If all else fails, then just ignore it; if can not than have Court rewrite the Law to read what they want.
Now, to add insult to injury, Mr. Marlow who is the outgoing President for the Wood County Board of Education has decided it would be a good idea to just raise the County's Excess Levy rate to the MAX. Now this is the attitude of one Government Level after another. More Taxes, Fees, Levies, Bonds and so on. How people adjust into them is THEIR problem. We, any Government Entity want more bucks and tough to you who are paying the bills. My first thought: Is this guy NUTS or a MORON?
He says the State SBA "has always held it against us, in a way, being taxed at 80% instead of the full 100% for the Excess Levy". So how does the BOE fix that? By increasing the Levy to the full 100%. Boy, will we show them he thinks? I was told many years ago that there are fools and damn fools. It is up too each person how they choose at any point in time? For him, the choice seems easy?
People are struggling so bad in this State, that Recession might be a misnomer for what we called in the last Century a Depression? It is one hit after another to get more from those with less to give to more who are already getting enough or too much. There is a desperate need for someone who does not have an axe to grind in getting more to audit these programs to see where the current Taxes are going and when?
For those of you not paying attention, you are going to very shortly get the latest Tax Assessment from the County. It WILL show another yearly increase no matter how small, but still an increase in Property Value in most cases with a Property Tax Increase also for 2016- 2017. There WILL be an increase for the Library, Schools, City, County and State as appropriate. But still NOT enough for them.
With the most important quarter of the year just starting, it is already being said that most will get a huge $2.50/ month Social Security increase next January. Enough it is said to buy a Gallon of Gas. Lucky us. The new Property Tax amounts will eat that up and more I suspect?
Maybe that few dollars a month I am going to try and give back to each of the Property Owners may be looking a little better now than last month? That plus the SSA increase is a Gallon of Gas and two pepperoni sticks at the Gas Station. But I still after three of the past seven years in NOT getting any increase think something is better than nothing. And besides, it is YOUR money; not theirs. Think twice; vote once? 'nuff said'.
