Mr. Skogstand did not get his desired "Frivolous Law Suit" finding that he wanted so I would have to pay the Costs of the City. Why? I do not do Frivolous. It is and has been my belief for more years than many have been alive to believe in the "Rule of Law". Here sadly, I was told it would be and is a joke.
I heard or read a couple of days back the most interesting saying. "The Truth is the Rock upon which we stand; no matter the consequences". I may have paraphrased this some but I would hope all can follow my thoughts on it. I for sure thought for some time and realized I have pursued with vigor and Honor that position for decades= No matter the consequences.
It has been my lot to ruin a career twice in Government Service because I would not either break the Law myself or sit back and let it be broken by others. Again folks, my six beloved words: "Duty, Honor, Country". Then of course the next three which are even closer to home and part of my Campaign: "Morals, Ethics and Integrity".
Then, allow this very pertinent thought came to me again. "When good men do nothing, Evil wins". If one does not believe that can happen, go to a City Council, Budget and Finance or Vienna Utility Board Meeting as I do month after month. One can and will hopefully see the petty, grasping greed and disrespect for most of the Communities Residents, Voters and Taxpayers in a full court press?
Am I saying that everyone is "Evil"? No, just the good folks are silenced and while I have noted a tiny bit of conscience sometimes, it is soon burnt out and stepped on by those who would use the City as a personal Fiefdom. A City full of so many good and trusting folks who have been "Misdirected, deceived, had deception and misinformation" used on them till the average person's eyes would glaze over at the propaganda that is told and shown to them.
There are so many things that have been taken from the folks here. Start with millions and millions in Tax Dollars over the past 12- 16 years. In the past 3 1/2, it has been spend, spend, spend on some of the most pretty ornaments one could buy. The generosity of the City Administration Head to take care of his friends, neighbors and family can and seemingly exceeded by how little was done for the Community in some of the most basic and deserved needs?
I have and will continue to point out some very, very peculiar actions by the City, where they do things that just do not pass the smell test. Or are as I say Bells and Whistles, Smoke and Mirrors and things that Twinkle in the Sun. Ego is a terrible thing and more so when others have to pay for it.
Have been watching and a couple of things are standing out for just plain daily City Service:
1. Noted a few weeks back where a couple of guys stopped by an empty home and looked at the area outside of the fence. It was WAY over the limit and I thought they would clean it up? Boy am I a dummy. Here we are weeks later and still growing and growing.
2. Some folks are mowing and it is out in the street which is a storm water nightmare. Can cause the City thousands of dollars in fines. What does the City do for a few weeks- nothing. Than about week two and three sends out the street sweeper. This is well and good if EPA/ DEP does not come to visit?
3. This is the real barn burner. There are at least three (3) huge piles of garbage by the street. I mean furniture, wood items of different types and of course the bags of garbage. Watched one scavenger go through a bag about 7- 10 days ago and take the base of a metal lamp. Someone has seemingly put some in a new bag as there are ripped ones. QUESTION: Where is the City? One pile in week three; the other two are in week four?
Starting Wednesday when I put out my next item on my "Platform for Tomorrow", I am going to begin to post the list to date that I have presented. I did say that I would do two (2) this week, so one to go.
A little "Truth in Advertising" here; noted the City Council meeting on the 24th. Will actually be the 25th. Was thinking of what I am putting out tomorrow- 24th and messed up.
AGAIN and yet again I ask for your Votes. "Change is in the Air". ' nuff said'.
