And the guy who is all the time waiting in the Lounge? Interesting some times but I am suspicious of a guy who holds court in a bar? I am hoping it is private joke?
What really knocked me and I also read it three times was the column by Mr. Mike Azinger; our delegate to the State. In office seven months and running for re-election already? Guess he has figured out that the debacle in the Wood County Republican Committee is going to make for a tough 2016 race here? One had to read all the way down to the last two paragraphs and one of those was his announcement to run.
As you all know or should by now is I am death on Nepotism, Cronyism and Favoritism. It would appear and the Democratic Party caught it that Mike got elected because of the initial tying him to his father and his 22 years as a Delegate. I do not feel that the name is a qualifier here anymore than that of Clinton or Bush. Dynasties are seldom productive and usually a disaster. Can he really shake off his father and be his own man? Seems I heard that he ran for office in Ohio and got whupped? Than dad brought him over here or so it was rumored?
All I can think of when I think of Dad is a guy trying to get a Law passed to force people to get a prescription from a Dr. to get an over the counter allergy tablet. I suggested going after the distributors or manufacturers; but that never saw the light of day. Our Politicians are afraid to mess with the Lobbyist's and their checkbooks. Easier to screw the people into the ground. It was fortunate that Legislature finally realized the huge cost to the State in Medicaid if people had to go to a Dr. all the time. Believe the State would lose $146 million in 10 years so voted it down.
